mactire
Here is Grey Hunter Puplord pics arent great so I hope you can see the detail, any changes let me know not sure if you'l be finished for the winters advance but you will be part of the pack. Heres a small WIP look at the colour scheme im using for my new GC, because I paint everything and then assemble its hard to get an overall view until everything is finished but I'l try to update as I go along. Until next winter. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283852-a-call-to-arms-or-to-be-armed/page/3/#findComment-3569686 Share on other sites
mactire
Back with a little update, these are the pack shoulder pads I'll be going with. They are the wolfskull and cross bones painted as close as possible as I can get to the B&C logo. It's a bit hard to see on the pics but there is a B x C painted in red on the skull. Hope ye like. Also a little advice needed here with the basing. I've gone with a white drybrush over a codex grey drybrush on a black basecoated GW sand base, my problem is the base rim colour. With my other GC I went with a codex grey rim to match the company shoulder pad colour, however my GC shoulder colour this time round will be chainmail and I'm not sure if that's too bright for the armour and the base. Would like to hear your views on this and any colour you might think would go with the colour scheme below. Thanks in advance. infyrana
What about just a subtle dark grey to add just a hint of colour? Â I would definitely recommend playing around with your light sources too, try to get a brighter white light there to enhance the images and bring out the colour :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283852-a-call-to-arms-or-to-be-armed/page/3/#findComment-3572630 Share on other sites

Vykryl
I do like mine figure. I have more hair than that but am not succeeding at the beard. 2 months & ready to shave most of it off. While painting a Rune Priest with the 4 braid beard my wife asked if I'm going to grow mine out so she can braid it like the RP. I may have to grow it now, all ready threatened with lonely nights if i cut my hair. I haven't had a real hair cut since my mom moved to Colorado 5 years ago. She's been gone 3+ years now so not much chance of it getting cut. My wife likes me looking like the stereotype viking Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283852-a-call-to-arms-or-to-be-armed/page/3/#findComment-3581328 Share on other sites

infyrana
Ooh, I see the future ... and it's looking Grey ... Space Wolf Grey that is :D Â Looking good, taking shape very nicely! Â That's very brave of you to try and GS new facial features on the snout, I can barely even make a basic cone to stick on the end of a mk7 helmet for a beakie helm, so kudos indeed and wish you luck for painting the features. Karack Blackstone
Well posed models all the way through, nicely done. Â This is an amazing project overall, and you should feel quite happy with yourself; the kitbashing and paint only add to the dynamic stance of each model. Â Thanks again, Mactire. I'll try and get the individual shots up as soon as real life allows, hopefully over the weekend and early next week, kind of like the WD daily . Hope you enjoy. mactire
Ok here we go, first up Wolf Priest Karack Blackstone. Wolf Helm Wolf Skull Front Torso Normal Rear Torso Right Shoulder Pad Wolf Fur Left Shoulder Pad Any Normal Jump Pack Wolf Pelt Legs Left Arm Bolt Pistol Right Arm - Thunder Hammer cut off just above the power plate, glue on or pin the SW backpack skull with wings stand up decoration bit. Next up GH Infyrana, * Helm - new Tactical MkVI Corvus Beakie. * Torso - new Tactical MkVI Corvus torso front, with your choice of standard or wolf pelt back. * Legs - new Sternguard MkVI Corvus legs with the studded left shin and cloth drape. * Shoulder pad left - new Tactical studded shoulder pad. * Shoulder pad right - your choice from Space Wolves box. * Backpack - your choice from Space Wolves box. * Arms - your choice of pose. * Meltagun - your choice from new Tactical or Sternguard box. * Accessories - your choice of Space Wolves knife for belt. Followed by GH Leif-thunderstand * The "blanko" torso front * the pelt torso back* right shoulder pelt * left shoulder "blackmane" (only if it fits to your army) * legs you like (i took the "on-one-knee" legs from the devastorkit)* both arms equiped with Wolf-claws (powerclaws) * the long beard with four "tails" and the monocular * The backpack with the one wolfstail >cut the "balls" >take two Powerhammers and cut them staffs where you let a litle bit of the stafs on em> make them fit to the backpack> glueing them with the stafs on your backpack with the "wofheads" looking upside. I wasn't able to figure out how to get the backpack looking right and all my left shoulderpads are B&C, but anyway hope this meets approval. And finally for tonight GH Russ Brother 92 - Front Torso w/ Runes and crossed swords (at waist).- plain back torso.- wolf skull shoulder pad.- studded shoulder pad.- legs w/ runes across them.- combi-melta strapped across (back or front).- sheathed sword at waist.- bearded axe in right hand, hanging down w/ axe head closest to the ground/base (2-handed axe, cut at the higher hand, pin/glue to beneath the power pack).- 2 melta bombs in left hand (clip the handles off both, 'bind' w/ thin GS strap and glue into an open palm).- wolf skull/bones backpack. Sorry but I couldnt actually find anywhere to put the melta gun and had to improvise on the melta bombs as the GS straps just looked horrible. Thats all for now, hopefully I'll get some more up tomorrow. Any c&c welcome here is where I come to learn. No helmet, Hope thats enough knives. GH Thunderhawk 3015 Combi-plasma, frost axe, bolt pistol. Only request for appearance is a wolf pelt somewhere. mactire
Trying to post just a few at a time to keep the posts manageable. Next in line GH Jbickb If you still have room I would like to see a wolf claw bolt pistol grey hunter, no helm, detail at your discretion. GH Rift Blade Torso plate with double Wolf's head on it with string of claws & talisman's added to his belt, power pack with the winged skull added to the top behind his head, head anything with a top knot & maybe add Fu Manchu mustache if your up it. Put him on the legs with the wolf skin tabard in front with added boot knife. Make him your Standard bearer for the pack if you like & give him a holstered bolt pistol & a chainsword for his free hand with a bolter mag locked to his other thigh. Smoking bolter in his other hand. And grenades, extra grenades. Can never have to many grenades. As I said no standard bearers also the spare mag looked poor so I skipped it, hope the Fu Manchu meets expectations and there are grenades. GH Vykryl Thunder Hammer & Wolf Claw for weapons, head with 4 braid beard if available, if not the top knot & beard. Torso & backpack both with dual tails & legs with wolf tail. mactire
And the final three Pack sergeant Maverick Grey hunter: Flamer. Bolt Pistol. Mark of the Wulfen Wasn't sure about doing the MOW I finally decided to try a bit of GS and attempt to shape the elongated snout that's mentioned in Prospero Burns hope it looks ok GH Sigvard Grey Hunter - Power Sword/Frost Blade, Bolt Pistol, Bolter - Details are entirely up to you though I would request a head with a magnificent beard :-) Sigvard I just realised I forgot your bolt pistol my bad. And last but not least GH Chief Captain Redd Give me a fine Axe, and a shield (decorative obviously). a pistol on my hip, put me in a suit mark 6. Give me a bolter if you find me worthy of it.
