Thanks for all the positive comments brothers, I really enjoyed modelling and painting this pack. It made a break from the norm and kept me motivated to work to a high standard so as not to let anyone down. I'm glad to always give back to this forum whether it's through painting competitions or taking part in discussions as it is really my only link to the community side of this hobby and long may it continue.

Brother these are truly fantastic! It's great to be a part of something like this! Not only does it keep you motivated it, it gives me inspiration for projects such as this. I am currently thinking about doing something similar with my Wolf Guard Terminators as they are mostly a decorative unit for my shelf :-) Great Stuff

Here at last is Puplord sorry for the delay brother.

What you really need there is a Grey Hunter with a flamer and the rebreather bald head from the new Marine Tactical squad. The flamer loving Hunter has long ago singed away his beard, hair and eyebrows. That would be epic. Maybe give him a storm shield to guard him from the promethium backlash he unleashes on the enemies of the Allfather. Broad stance, like he means business and no pelts whatsoever. They'd get burned away in any case...

I tried to give the flamer and shield a burnt affect with the paint peeled off the shield and the purity seals crisped and scorched, hope it looks ok as always any c&c welcome.

Here's a final group shot.

It's actually the shield from the assault/jump squad. I hacked up the purity seals with the clippers and washed them heavily in devlan mud, on the shield I dabbed (for want of a better word) it with leadbelcher then painted inside that with mournfang brown and again a heavy wash of devlan mud. For the flamer I put baltashar(?) gold over leadbelcher, then while still sticky I put on some black and again washed with the mud.
