recon0321
Anyone have any idea how to paint the forge world version of the word bearers...the grey seems very light...and the red seems nice but are the shoulder pads black or grey? Hyaenidae
'Bah Humbug' to the red and black scheme. The granite plate looked soooooooooo much cooler. Nothing says you can't use a darker grey paint scheme, Recon. Actually nothing says that all of the Word Bearers had made the change or even by a certain date. DuskRaider
I would do slate grey with red trim. Then again, I'm sick of seeing the red and black myself. I've seen no grey Word Bearers at all. Hyaenidae
Or, do what you like. If Betrayal and Massacre have shown us anything, it's that the Legions are fractured, and anything is possible. ephrael
If you have a question on haw the guys at FW painted a particular Legion all you need to do is send them an email and they will typically reply within 24-48 hrs depending on holidays and weekends. You will usually be very surprised by the brand of paint and method of application they use though. They rarely use the GW colors and almost always paint with an airbrush. There is a tutorial over at The First Expedition Forums where they have collected most of the FW recipes for the HH paint schemes. Here's a link: Forge World painting guides.
