Question about missile launchers in 6th ed C:SM

The dreadnought missile launcher upgrade is the same weapon as the upgrade in the war gear section of the codex right? Can't find any clarification on this :/

The dread missile launcher is the same as the infantry missile launcher in terms of rules.

So then shouldn't it be subject to the option to upgrade to flak missiles? The only thing is says in the core book states that some may have the option, and in C:SM it states in the war gear description to refer to the core book. In the war gear list is says that missile launchers can upgrade to carry flak missiles for X

No, notice the difference in choice between the Tactical Squad (pg 167) and the Dreadnought entries.  The Tactical Squad refers to the "Heavy Weapons" list, and the Dreadnought just states Missile Launcher.  The Ranged entries list in the CDX SM refer you back to the Core Rule Book for the Missile Launcher.  The Missile Launcher entry there, on page 57, states "All missile launchers come with frag and krak missiles as standard, and some have the option to upgrade to include flakk missiles."  The Dreadnought entry does not point you to the "Heavy Weapons" list where the option to buy Flakk missiles exists, so no Flakk missiles for Dreadnoughts.

Why wouldn't the option for flak missiles in the wargear list aply to all Missile Launchers in codex space marines? It seems to me that the option in the wargear list should be an understood option for all missile launchers because that is the only rule regarding them expressed in the codex. On top of that from a fluf stand point, the dreadnought missile launcher system shoots the same munitions as the hand held so flak missiles would fit into the system the same as krak and frag missiles. And the dreadnoughts targeting system would be much better suited to target aircraft than what a shoulder mounted system would have. And from a game stand point it doesn't make the unit broken or over powered like some other units I have seen.

The reason that Dreadnought doesn't have the option for Flakk Missiles is because the rules are explicit.  They would have added Flakk to the list if they wanted Dreadnoughts to have them, like they did with the Scout Squad on page 167.
