So started on the first company and so far have painted a captain and a sternguard squad. Btw, you can find rules for the Lamenters Chaptermaster Malakim Phoros who is featured in IA9 at Forge World's homepage, if you want to use a fluffy character. The yellow, white and purple elements to the HQ are fantastic! I'll be keeping an eye out for ideas for when I eventually do Lamenters myself! Will leave my chaptermaster char till last. really going to go to town on him based on the limited fluff available.Just plenty of practice and following the eavy metal style of painting I suppose. I love painting more than gaming but this army is my attempt to get back into gaming and trying not to go too crazy with the weapon selections or magnetising them when I can :)Quick question about DC - Can I arm one with a PF and bolter? Gorgeous job on them mate, cleanest I’ve seen in a long time! As for your question yes you can, in fact I think one of the most popular builds for DC is either 5 or 10 with bolters and 1-2 PF thrown in there. munger Posted December 6, 2013 Author Share Posted December 6, 2013 thanks all.The yellow recipe is as follows:Base Tuasept Ochre (GW)Layer on a mix of Golden Sun and Iyaden Darksun 50/50 (GW) Shade with watered down dark flesh (GW) Highlight with layer again plus skull white all the way to 70/30 (GW) Edge highlight with Skull white and base mix 90/10 (GW) Glaze with some yellows but very thin. I have just finished a death company and will put photos up later.The purple was liche purple and chaos black, the layered on liche purple as highlighlights, then added warlock purple to the mix and then bleaches bone.then washed down with thin purple glazes and then highlighlighted at highest edges with bleached bone :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
