Danny Cyanide tries out INQ28

Hi Guys,

Here are the first three minis that I"m working on for my entrance into the world of INQ28:

Bounty Hunter with shotgun, sword and 2 laspistols:

Bishop with Heavy Stubber and Flail:

All three of these guys still have a fair amount of work left on them.  The Chaos star needs to be filled in on the bounty hunter, and I have to smooth out the sleeves, and I may be giving his jacket cuffs.  I'll also be fixing up the sword blade.

The Sniper is not glued to the fantasy base and it will be changed once I decide how I want to base the group, and I'll be scraping off a bunch of the twin tailed comets on the mini.

The bishop still needs a lot of work.  I've got to finish de-nurglifying him, attach the ammo chute back pack, and give him a bionic eye.

Just wanted to share these as they were for now.

I hope to be able to get back to work on my Heresy army in the new future as well, but life is still a mess and these single figures seem to be more my pace right now.  I hope you guys like them!

I like them all so far and as a fan of INQ28 I personally can't wait to see how these minis progress.  I have a small suggestion for you if you don't mind.  Have you considered some type of servitor or drone attached to the end of the snipers rifle to support the weight of it in some way.  Perhaps one of the hovering skulls from the GK kits with some cables hanging down from it and wrapped around it?  That would look suitably improbable and outlandish, perfect for 40K in my opinion.

I'm totally going to be painting him to look like Chuck now!

Mikhail, I a really love that idea! I've been having trouble figuring out ways to really 40ify him! I'm totally going to make him some servo skulls to hold his rifle up!

I'm glad that you like the idea and will be following this with intense interest.  You should check out the Ammo Bunker's INQ28 Forum for even more ideas on inquisition stuff.  Those guys are amazing and friendly and best of all some of them actually play Necromunda using modified rules for Inquisitorial war bands, Xenos and all kinds of awesome stuff.  Here's a link to the site in case you haven't seen it yet:  INQ28 Painting & Modelling

Let me know if you need any help, bits or just want to toss some ideas around.  I build Inq28 guys for fun all the time.

Here are a couple of changes I made tonight:

Bishop:

He lost the flail, and gained some holy parchments (will count as a staff)

Sniper:

He got a lovely servo skull to help him hold steady thanks to a great suggestion from Mikhail!

I've given him a servo arm from a tech marine. It may be slightly inspired by the smart gun from Aliens...

Hopefully it lends a bit of credibility to the one armed pose!

I'm going to start painting on the bounty hunter tomorrow, but I've started construction on a few more minis this weekend:

Inquisitor Ezra Stoughton:

He is a Psyker Witch Hunter.  I have started writing his background, and have posted the first draft of his discovery/recruitment on the Conclaive Forum.  I'm not sure where the appropriate place to post background writing is here, but if you guys want to hear his story, I'll post it up once I've revised it.  It's a very simple conversion, just a hand swap, as I love the base model.

I don't have any background for these guys yet, but I'll get working on it!

Mechanicus Adept:

Torture specialist:

Nobel Lady:

She will be getting significant conversion.  I'll be sculpting some armour on her torso and her shoulders, but I am going to try to keep the Victorian look that she has going on!

Ah, visiting the Conclave are you? Tell Greenstuff Gav Big J says hi. ;)

Anyhoo, looking good so far - however that sniper needs a larger muzzle, I think, because alas the lasgun muzzle looks a bit weedy. Can you get a hold of any silencer bits? Maybe Telion's silencer or perhaps just some generic scout silencers?

Also, I liked the bishop better when he had something in his left hand. Perhaps have him hold a censer?

Thanks for the feedback! I don't think that I really want to stick a big silencer on the front of that huge rifle. I might try to make a larger diameter Las muzzle out of styrene tube...

All of the feedback that I have been given on the bishop suggested the open hand, so I do think I going to leave it as he is for now. I could stick a proclamation in his open hand, hanging down? I'll try it out tomorrow and see what I think, and put up a new picture.

Sorry man, I've been hunting for him too, so if I go spend the crazy amount of money that gw want for the matter of marches, the gimp mask cherub won't be going anywhere! Lol!

I guess I'll have to buy the kit so that I can make us both flocks of the little darlings then.
