Jagdwulfe
Brothers, Forgive my ignorance. As I've mentioned I am but recently returning to the fold after a long hiatus, and at the moment my knowledge of the game is based on the SW codex and the mini rule book from Dark Vengence. My SM codex is in the mail and I presume I will find most of my answers therein, alas! I am an impatient man and must know if I will need to procure other documents before I can properly thrash my enemies on the field... I've been reading some posts regarding the inclusion of fortifications, anti-air platforms and fliers and am wondering where I can find the rules for including them in my list? How many points they cost, what slots in the list they will take up, if any, etc etc... Is that all in the SM codex? Or do I need other supplements (stronhold assault, death from the skies...) in order to include these things in my list? Thanks! Max_Dammit
It should be in the 6th ED rule book. The generic rule book, this is not a army specific thing Flyers on the other hand are in the army books or in the FAQ to change some skimmer types to flyers But wolves dont have there own flyers so need allies or Forgeworld to get in to that action. To play Spacewolves you dont need the SM rule book, unless your planning on using allies. Russ Brother 92
Also folks - updated rules for Fortifications (inc. the Wall of Martyrs & heavy weapon batteries I.e macro cannon) are in the Stronghold Assault book brother. Jagdwulfe
Thanks for the quick replies. What would I need, besides the minis obviously, to use Forgeworld flyers? Does Forgeworld have their own rules supplement? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284380-newbie-qs-for-me-too/#findComment-3542432 Share on other sites
Max_Dammit
Some of there rules are free to download, some are in there books, I dont know if they provide special rules with kits they sell but i think not. Russ Brother 92
None of the kits they sell have rules included - their 'experimental' rules are there under Downloads on the FW page, this is only for new units where they want community feedback (post on their FB page or email them with it) - anything else will be in one of their released books only. DanPesci
For flyers there is also the new space marine 'stormwing formation'. Think that is a digital download. You can use this with space wolves if you were wanting flyers. Rules for how to use flyers are in the big rule book.
