Provocation
Hi As the title says, I was thinking of using the Beorn model to convert into a Grey hunter with Mark of the Wulfen. My wulfen are berserkers with close combat weapons (like knives and hatchets) rather than the stereotyped werewolf. The Beorn miniature is pretty huge and comparable in size to a marine. Open torso up to the roll in his pants onto a striding pair of Space wolf legs. What do you think? http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat970005a&prodId=prod2330091a Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284430-hobbits-beorn-as-a-space-wolf/ Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
Oh boy! Probably gonna use him for my Bran Redmaw. He's a shapeshifter too :3 Just need to justify his 3+ save unless you are planning to slap PA on him, in which case I will need ask what the point is^^ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284430-hobbits-beorn-as-a-space-wolf/#findComment-3544031 Share on other sites
Stormborn
I had a similar thought to you Provocation, but was thinkiing he might make an interesting wolf scout (with some hair extensions). MaveriK
A better investment would be to wait until next year, when Forgeworld or GW comes out with proper wulfen packs. Provocation
Stormborn brilliant idea for the wolf scouts. I have a lot of the old metal scout sergeants (only 3 different moulds) as they encapsulate the elite nature of our scouts much better than the weedy plastic kit. Max_Dammit He's about the same size as a marine, maybe a slight bit taller. I was shocked when I picked up the blister because you don't really get an idea of the scale from the web/ source book. DanPesci
why does he seem to have eyebrows from a bad 70chinese martial arts flick?? dunno why (maybe its cos of a hobbit graphic novel i had as a kid...need o dig it out) but i always imagined beorn to have bg beard but be bald. Definately not have a mullet haha. anywhooo..to the original point. Im kind of in line with immersturm here in tha you'dneed to seriously model some armour onto him, to use as either a PA marine or a scout...scout i guess would be easier..but stillnot entirely sure why he'd be walking around like a glasgwegian whos jsut sen the first rays of spring sunshine (taps aff!!)
