Chickenleg
Hello all, Ive been working on some traitors of the III legion, testing the colors and the like for a possible new army. Here are the first 3 tacticals: http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w194/darkman1111/ec3.jpg and a WIP chaplain, mk IV-V armor, I am painting him right now so stay tuned for more upgrates on him. Bad cellphone photo! http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w194/darkman1111/chaplainwip.jpg thoughts? GrandMagnus
Damn, those are fine brother. Great paintjob, but shouldnt the pauldrons be purple? Oh well. The chaplain looks good, but being a HH army I would remove the skull helmet and give him a regular one. Forté
Nice job Chickenleg. Very clean. @Anaziel. White enameled plates date back to pre-Fulgrim and were used as a way to show rank and great deeds. Captain Semper
Well they sure look sweet! I think you've done a magnificent job here Chickenleg! Great use of white and gold as compelmentary colors - the white especially is very smooth... C'mon let's push you to start an army of those guys! I challenge you to make a 1,000 pts list and then execute it to the letter! This would be something! Fantastic work - and a very promising start! Forté
Seconded...just don't ask me to start an army. I'd be pushing my luck with a combat squad ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284468-hh-emperors-children/#findComment-3544885 Share on other sites

GrandMagnus
Lots of great info in the Forge World Horus Heresy books. Even in the notes by the pictures. Forté
It's under a MK II EC marine with a lot of white plates. Just like the Palatine Blades having platinum used on their armour too. I'll let you off though as you'll always notice more about Legions which interest you the most (EC and NL for me). Chickenleg
Thank you all for the comments! @Anaziel: Chaplain Charmosian used the skull helmet, the model is based on him. Not necessarily being Charmosian tho. @Cpt Semper: I accept the challenge and i will prepare the list in the near future, i must work on it first. I made big progress on the chaplain today, still WIP. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w194/darkman1111/ecchaplain.jpg thoughts? Olis
Nice and simple - utilitarian, perhaps. I like him. the purple looks a wee bit flat, though (although, that may be the light source messing with the light refraction). ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284468-hh-emperors-children/#findComment-3545876 Share on other sites
jeremy1391
These guys just ooze awesome! That chaplain looks better than any of the available ones from GW! Chickenleg
Pre heresy chaplains were established after the edict of Nikea and made sure the psykers were under control, they had nothing to do with their religious 40k counterparts. This is why he has no elaborate armor or scrolls. The purple is indeed not shown properly, its the same color as the tacticals. nurgling6688
Awesome stuff, really liking the chaplain too. As others have said, very stripped down and basic but in a good way. Hyaenidae
I immediately thought of Chaplain Charmosian when I saw your Chappy... http://asset-1.soup.io/asset/5647/9863_1c00.jpeg Which is definitely a good thing. Awesome job, man. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284468-hh-emperors-children/#findComment-3546098 Share on other sites
Captain Semper
Well, it certainly comes along nicely! I agree with Oli, the Chaplain looks powerful in his simplicity! And Chaplains are not a common sight in EC armies - bravo on your brave choice! :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284468-hh-emperors-children/#findComment-3546102 Share on other sites
The Nephilim
By Fulgrim, you mean all of us I'm guessing Absolutely.http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w194/darkman1111/ecchaplain.jpgChickenleg, that is amazing. I love the unadorned armor. It imposes a very bleak, unspoken threat of, "I will seriously eff you up." Kudos. I immediately thought of Chaplain Charmosian when I saw your Chappy... http://asset-1.soup.io/asset/5647/9863_1c00.jpeg Which is definitely a good thing. Awesome job, man. Exactly!
