Capt.Valefor
Hi all, I'm pretty new to this and have recently acquired a fair few 40k minis and have chosen the Dark Angels as my army. I was wondering, do they use augmented limbs? Would it be uncommon for a tactical squad member to have a bionic arm/leg etc? The reason I ask is for possible conversions for some of the DV models that double up. Thankyou Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284501-dark-angels-and-bionics/ Share on other sites
Bryan Blaire
The Dark Angels (like all Marines) do make use of bionics. Not to the extent that the Iron Hands do, but Grand Master of Librarians Ezekiel has a bionic eye. Your conversion idea for the duplicates sounds like a good plan! Pyro X
I know that Iron Hands use them alot and they have a DA model on GW's site with a 1/2 cyborg face on a DA sgt but I couldn't tell you on per fluff. I'd say go for it. I think it makes the models different and really pop out for being different. GrandMagnus
All space marines make use of bionics. Bionic legs/arms are used when a marine looses his natural leg/arm. Same goes for eye bionics. There are however chapter like the iron hands and sons of Medusa who augment themselves voluntarily as its their tradition. Aradiel
like it has been said above, the DA use bionics when needed (aka replacements for combat injuries, etc). ie, in the ravenwing black knights box the ravenwing banner is carried by a bionic arm Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284501-dark-angels-and-bionics/#findComment-3545644 Share on other sites
Capt.Valefor
Thanks for the info, I just wasn't sure fluff wise if they used them. I shall now begin conversions! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284501-dark-angels-and-bionics/#findComment-3546001 Share on other sites
