How many sprues are in the Black Templars upgrade?

Way back in around 2006 I bought the black templars upgrade pack for my Crimson Fists, figuring all those bits would come in handy, and I was right, eventually. Seven years later I finally find myself wanting some more of those bits.

Back then it was sold in a box in stores, and contained two infantry upgrade sprues and one vehicle sprue, that's essentially two of everything in that picture. Is this still the case? At £20 I think it must be the same as the old pack, but I wouldn't put it past GW to nearly double the price and half the bits in the intervening years.

Has anyone bought this lately who can verify?

Thanks in advance.

I brought one of these from the GW website last month, and I got pretty much 2 of everything in that picture. You get 5 sprues in all:

1 x vehicle upgrade sprue

2 x shoulder pads and special weapons sprue

2 x boltguns and CCW sprue.

I was quite happy with it, although the price is a bit steep (as are all things GW), the bits are all  good, and suit the Templars perfectly. Only problem is the chest pieces aren't compatible with the new tactical squads, so you'll have to shave off the pegs to make them fit.

Cool, sounds like the exact same thing as the box I bought all those years ago. I am aware of the chest piece issue (the tabards are one of many bits I am after), but it's easily fixed with a bit of filing and drilling.

The only things that have changed are that the box is a generic citadel box, rather than a templars one, and the price!

Aside from that, you shouldn't even need to drill the chest bits, they glue quickly enough once you cut off the pegs. I combined some of the upgrade bits with some of the new sternguard pieces and some old bikers, Templar pieces still seem to go with everything!

I fitted an old front to a new back recently and drilled a small 1mm diameter hole into one of them, lined it up nicely (rather than doing it by eye).

You're right about going with anything, I don't play Templars but I use the bits with both my Crimson Fists and Angels of Absolution and the Maltese Cross never looks out of place.
