Sohail187
Hi Guys,Sorry to disturb you in this section of the forums. Looking for a rule check from the C:GK, I have previously found the answer by searching the forums for a specific post however cannot seem to locate it this time round. The psyker henchmen that have the barrage attack which gets stronger with the more guys it has. It says in the book that they all suffer the same effect. If they get a double 1 or double 6 do they all die? Thanks :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284577-henchmen-pyskers/ Share on other sites
thraxdown
Correct, if you roll a perils the unit is destroyed Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284577-henchmen-pyskers/#findComment-3547104 Share on other sites

Quozzo
A mate of mine lets me split up the psykers to allow me to deal multiple, albeit weaker attacks, depending on how many psykers where involved, just incase that perils does roll. It benefits him too as the attack would be easier to mitigate. Reclusiarch Darius
That's nice, but house rules aren't helpful. The reason Perils affects the whole unit is to balance out the ludicrously cheap price of the unit (even including the Chimera they're very easy to field) and the damage that large blast can cause. Grand Master Caloth
I don't have my codex in front of me, but iirc, there is nothing staying they all have to fire in a single blast... Still never going to use them, but interesting idea... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284577-henchmen-pyskers/#findComment-3551846 Share on other sites
jeffersonian000
The old Perils rules allowed Perils to strike the Transport if the Psykers were embarked, causing a glance and protecting the squad. Current Perils rules hit the Psyker regardless, wiping the squad on the bad roll. Reclusiarch Darius
I don't have my codex in front of me, but iirc, there is nothing staying they all have to fire in a single blast... Still never going to use them, but interesting idea... Except the paragraph directly below their unit entry haha 'Only one Psychic Barrage is fired, regardless of how many psykers are in the unit' Would be cool if they could each do a mindblast, but considering how cheap they are already, it would be a little OP. The old Perils rules allowed Perils to strike the Transport if the Psykers were embarked, causing a glance and protecting the squad. Current Perils rules hit the Psyker regardless, wiping the squad on the bad roll. Sigh...not to mention old Perils used to be a S6 hit, and you could still take an invul save against it. Auto-wound with no save at all is just so harsh. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284577-henchmen-pyskers/#findComment-3552186 Share on other sites
Quozzo
You can take FNP against perils, but as far as i know the GK cant get FNP outside of paladins. Yeah, so it's basically irrelevant. In almost all cases, you'll just be taking the wound.
