Excessus
Heya I was browsing around the GW page when I discovered that not all of the upgrade packs were labled as resin. The NL says it is, but the IW doesn't, and so on. I thought I remembered distinctly that they all got turned into resin, am I wrong on this? Was it just a one-time thing or am I just remembering it wrong? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284582-gw-upgrade-kits/ Share on other sites

Forté
EBay should have metal if you can't stand Failcrap. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284582-gw-upgrade-kits/#findComment-3547409 Share on other sites
Excessus
When using them to convert stuff, I prefer something that I can bend and cut more easy. Rune Priest Ridcully
Which you can do with metal, which also has the benefit of not being deformed, full of holes, warpings and mistakes, so good for nurgle, but everything else? Not so much..This must be a sign of favour for the Iron warriors.. Chaeron
It's probably one of the most popular ones - perhaps they're either awaiting the stock to run-down.... or ditching it in future. Warsmith Aznable
I think all of them got turned into resin... except Iron Warriors. A local store here orders random online-only stuff to have on hand. I've seen the IW conversion kits in there, and they were definitely resin. I don't know about the IW shoulder pads, though. Excessus
Mostly interested in the Thousand Sons stuff though. Anybody that has seen if they are resin or not? Rune Priest Ridcully
They are .... still a pain to stick thousand sons crests onto other helmets Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/284582-gw-upgrade-kits/#findComment-3547979 Share on other sites
daboarder
If I was doing Tsons, I'd buy a resin set, remove the crests and other details, and then use instant mold to duplicate them before sticking them on almost everything. Forté
EBay unfortunately. I'm sure there's plenty of people who bought but never got round to using them.
