IF successor chapter name

I'm not a fan of the name.

"Gunslingers" just doesn't sound like a name that a Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes would incorporate as part of the Chapter name.

You can see a listing of Imperial Fists Legion Successors here (both official and unofficial). You shouldn't feel constrained to using similar names, but they provide decent examples that you might draw upon (if you decide not to go with the "Dorn's Gunslingers" name, that is msn-wink.gif ).

They are a gun line infantry style Hammer and Anvil tactics. I like guns more than I like melee for an army 38,000 years in the future LOL.

But as I am thinking this I may just keep my army a IF army and for fluff have it be a Task Force. And fluff the heck out of it that way. Yeah this game brings out the nerd in me.

I think he already knows...

And in order to not derail malorn24's topic further...

Understand that if you really like the "Dorn's Gunslingers" name, it's entirely up to you. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. However, you don't need the Chapter name to exactly reflect the Chapter's preferred gunline tactic. Alternately, you could look at the functionality of the gunline, which is to provide a wall of fire against the enemies of Mankind. In that, you might draw upon any name that evokes either a defensive (the "wall") or offensive (the "fire"). In this, just about any Chapter name works. Practically speaking, you don't even need the Chapter name to evoke preferred tactics. You could draw upon just about any words that you like and still have a Chapter that prefers a gunline.

Realistically, just about any name will do.

As for the game bringing out the nerd in you, welcome to the club. msn-wink.gif
