Captain Semper
I love the idea of kill-teaming a squad of these guys, as Heathens said there's so much potential for themes. Part of me does wish that they'd combined them with seeker squads though, as fluff-wise I see them fulfilling similar roles. Which begs the question: why are the Seekers a fast attack choice? Really, what is the justification? Nothing is particularly fast about them... Is it a matter of spreading choices among certain categories? Because they seem like the definitive elites choice. Or possibly a non-core Troop choice - same like Recon and Tact. Support squads. Strange, no? Kol Saresk
Aren't they like a light sniper unit? I guess "rapid deployment"? depthcharge12
take both together and watch fireworks happen! Vets gun down the characters retinue, seekers polish off the character. What is this...."forging a narrative" you speak of? Is it....heretical? AGPO
To me it just seems like power weapons and serpentas are a logical choice for seekers, whilst elite tactical squads looking for extra flexibility would naturally pick up special issue ammo and combi weapons, and be sent to deal with specific targets. Bearing this in mind I think they'd have been more fitting had they rolled both units into one and made "seekers" an additional option when choosing the unit's special rule.
