Beachymike123
afaik you need to be able to see at least one model with this template weapon to be able to fire. the rules state you must cover as many models as possible but this a slight loop hole. if you can only see one model how do you place the template is the question i'm seeing. i'd say its down to interpretation at the time, how they can fire (no right angles if its say 3" etc) and sportsmanship. this might just be my interpretation of what has been asked here, if you see what i mean. but generally, you will need to see at least one model to be able to fire, template or not. hope this helps. hallodx
My interpretation is, you can cover as many as you want, but only hit those you can see, which if it was one model here, you can only have one Hit. Dam13n
Not exactly true. You must be able to see at least one model in the target unit in order to declare a shooting attack against them (unless firing an indirect barrage). You place the template to score as many hits as possible. That is the number of hits scored (even if models covered by the template are out of sight). Wounds can only be allocated to models that the firer has line of sight to.
