Thought I'd post the WIP of a certain character from a brand new army I'm working on in between finishing the Seventh War-Company. For this force the points value to be completed is as yet unknown, and I'm still mulling over the ruleset to represent their preferred approach to warfare. BrotherCaptainArkhan Posted December 26, 2013 Author Share Posted December 26, 2013 Cheers Forte ;) 40mm bases aren't strictly tournament legal on power armoured infantry, if anyone I play against has an issue with it they can bite me. I know at least one guy at my FLGS who's just completed a pretty slick Chaos Lord on foot on a 40mm, it looks tons better than an average 20mm and lets you do more interesting things on the base anyway. I have 4 other models from the IH squad pack. Can't figure out what role they should play yet...ideas on a postcard :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Storm of Iron is too awesome to not make some kind of homage to Olympia's siegemasters at some point. My first love in 40k were the Imperial Fists 4th Battle Co. so I might do a diorama with warriors from both at some point, who knows. There are some really great examples of Iron Warriors in the gritty, trench-warfare style on the B&C (1000heathens' stuff comes to mind) but I don't want to tread ground that's been well-trodden already. I'll come to them when I know I can do something that's characterful enough to merit another take on an already well-represented army. I think I've nearly fleshed out what the other four models in the IH kit I got for Xmas will be used for, and I think I've settled upon a name and role for the dude above as well, so hopefully another update tonight or tomorrow. edit: Recon, they are indeed Kromlech pads :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
