MomentoMori Posted December 26, 2013 Share Posted December 26, 2013 I'll be running a Immo Spam list and Wondering what people felt about a shooty Command squad with either 2 melta's (normal and or Multi) 2 flamers (normal and or heavy). Throw in hospitaller. Then add two plasma priests. Place them all into a rhino as a mobile Swiss Army Knife in a tin can. Or should I stick with an extra Immolator filled with a more specialised command squad. I prefer a "do a lot of one thing" approach so I stack the same weapon type virtually every squad including command squads when I take them. oreaper84 Posted December 27, 2013 Share Posted December 27, 2013 I agree with Finonacci on this one, i always like a specialized squad when it comes to command. I see them as fucntional in 2 ways (mostly due to a garbage AoF) either they are the extra heavy weapon squad cuz your running Exo's/Pen's, or they are a tough to kill (well kinda) forward pressure unit. Running them with 4 specials and a hospitiler and add extra IC's to flavor and stick in something armoured. I've been particularly fond of a 4 heavy flamer squad in an immo. gomericus Posted December 27, 2013 Share Posted December 27, 2013 I have to agree with the two privious posts,,,,either pick an assault weapon or heavy or ccw kitted out squad. Look over the rest of your list,what area needs bolstering up? Remember though if you go with a heavy weapons loaded squad and they are riding around,they will loose a round of shooting when they get out unless you hunker them down somewhere and use the extra immolator to just drive around. Da Taz Posted December 28, 2013 Share Posted December 28, 2013 I favor canoness with maul, plasma pistol, upgraded armour, Rars. and three heavy bolters with the other two special sisters. Put them with a Immo. set them up where they can be used as a fire base and let the Immo drive around! Outside the Ex. that is the longest ranged weapon you have. I put Heavy Flamers in the squads so they have the heaviest firepower possible with the best movement! If I want to do CC I use a maxed out amount of D. C.
