Are there any clues as to which Segmentum Khur was/is in?

Khur was the planet that was made an example of by the Emperor to teach the Primarch Lorgar to stop worshiping him as a God. Looking at information on the planet, I can't seem to find in which Segmentum it is in.

Does anyone know or are there any clues if it is near the Eye of Terror or Segmentum Obscurus?

 

By extension, do we know in which Segmentum Primarch Lorgar was most active whilst he was on the Emperors side?

Same. Perhaps it has two names (one Imperial and one local)?

 

Either way, I'm about 1'000 miles away from my books, so no possibilty to check that for you. I'll have a quick look on Lexicanum to see what I can find there.

 

EDIT: Khur is the planet and Monarchia is the main city (which is destroyed by the Ultramarines). Can't find any details of its location for now, but will check my books when I get home on Monday (unless someone else does it before me) :)

And yet it happening in the Ultima Segmentum is the most reasonable deduction to make.

 

Ultramarines asked (when we all know who Big E usually turns to when he wants to make an example out of a Legion). They mostly worked in the Ultima Segmentum. It is also by far the largest Segmentum.

 

I'm not saying it did happen there, merely that the evidence mostly supports that assumption. The only evidence to the contrary being that the Word Bearers homeworld was in the Segmentum Pacificus, but if it was close to there the Space Wolves would have been closer to hand.

Khur is in Segmentum Pacificus, directly south of Colchis, far west of Terra, and completely in the opposite direction of Ultima. As somebody already stated, the purpose of the Ultramarines being present was because they represented specifically what the Emperor intended the Word Bearers to become. They were the example. Source is the map in the beginning of Forge World's Horus Heresy rulebooks.

 

Quick image search of Great Crusade Map brought this image up. It's a close up of it, doesn't have the full image. But you can see Khur right under Colchis on the left edge, the 'K' right on the edge.
