Flyer entering from reserve.

Hi,

I could use some help about flyers entering from reserve.

question.1.

The flyer must move between 18-36".

Does that mean that the flyer has to end its move at least 18" from its own board edge?

Or can you say the flyer entered the table top, from the corner of your own board edge, and steered towards the middle of your own deployment zone?

question.2.

from rule book, "in a turn which a flyer enters the board from reserve, it can do so facing any direction you

wish, providing that the resulting move will not carry it off the board again.

Does that mean the flyer can have its front facing it own board edge? Basically flying backwards when it arrives from reserve.

1 - you pick a point on your table edge from which the flyer is moving on.  The front of the flyer's base must end up at least 18" from that point.  This means that, yes, you can move in a straight line in any direction from your board edge, so long as it won't take you straight off the board again.

2 - zooming flyers can only fly forwards.  They can make a single turn of up to 90' before they move and then move in a straight line forwards 18-36".  They end up facing the direction of travel (unless they have the Vector Dancer USR, which no Imperial flyer has).

So if we decide that perpendicular to the table edge is at 0 degrees, you could fly up to 89' right or left as long as the base moves atleast 18" from the spot it came in on. Front to front- since the first part of the model to appear on  the board would be the front. Any legal move is good to go as long as it does that.

Since flying backwards is not legal for flyers, no, you cant do that.
