Old Games Workshop website archive

Just found this link out of pure chance. I wasn't aware it existed! About half of the pictures no longer exist and it's rather slow to load, but there's some interesting stuff on there. I've found several wallpapers and a few wacky tutorials. The 13th Company and the Lost and the Damned army lists are still there as PDFs, too.

Aww, making me so nostalgic !

What I'd really love to see surfacing is the good ol' Eye of Terror website.

Haven't had a chance to explore it, but: http://web.archive.org/web/20070102035856/http://www.eyeofterror.com/

Also the Armageddon site, with a bunch of fluff hiding in the force descriptions Including the origional rules for tycho, both normal and black rage, and what I think is my favorite Imperial Guard short story, Dan Abnett's Ork Hunters.

Hopefully I'm not boring anybody, but I've been searching through this and found a couple more interesting things. Mainly the forums. I didn't spot them the first time around. They're filled with threads that don't work, but you can catch snippets from GW employees occasionally. And they're there. You can use the WayBackMachine slider at the top to pick a different point in time.

There's proof for us new players that Ultramarines aren't just disliked because of the 5th Edition codex and an interview with C.S Goto. He's a member on that message board. He even replies to the topic. Isn't that weird to see? Sadly, you had to be registered to see a member's profile so I can't find a way of quickly looking up what anybody wrote.

Also C.S Goto's website from his signature. He has an interesting interview about how much freedom Black Library authors have - although the positions might have changed since that was made.

Other areas on the website are hidden away too. Black Gobbo is there, as is the old Space Marine Painter.
