@ Phoebus- I agree but when raising Gallipoli it's not as clear cut as miscommunication, Australia was really under British hierarchy and didn't use the Australian forces appropriately, see the Anzacs at Tobruk, Gallipoli, the western front etc.

My old man was apart of the 2/14th light horse brigade and my grandfather served in the charge of the lighthorse.

Both have stated that when outside military hierarchies take control of Australian forces disaster follows.

Independently the Australians work great when in PKO or deployment but when NATO or another nations are in control our operations aren't as smooth as they should be.

Jaspcat, I have nothing but respect for the men who fought and died in Gallipoli.  Allow me, however, to stand by my point.

The regiments of the Imperial Guard hail from myriads of different worlds and fight under Lord Commanders (or whatever) who may never have set foot on the soil of their homeworlds.  Inflexible doctrine, a callous disregard for human losses, and poor communication are at least prevalent within the Imperial Guard as they were within the hierarchies of the armies that fought in World War One.

EDIT:  I see the confusion.  My apologies - I did not mean to imply that the Australians were calling the shots at Gallipoli.

I thought that politics was the strength of the Ultramarines.

Huh?
I think he meant Logistics brother.
No, I think he meant Politics, but not sure if serious or joke

You know why there are so many Ultramarines?

They have a good healthcare system and dental

And PR, never forget the PR.

That's cool brother thought I'd just clear it up as I got what you were saying but it was a tad confusing.

Carry on :)
