mitch_lion Posted January 5, 2014 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I started painting up my dark angels about a year ago, Ive got two tactical squads done plus a chaplain and a dreadnought, this is only a few pics but I thought id put up some pics, their not the greatest so i apologise for that I hope to start playing once i finish my Army training and get posted somewhere, warhammer always interested me and im finally putting an army together. mitch_lion Posted January 6, 2014 Author Share Posted January 6, 2014 I like to make my heavy weapons pop out a bit so i do them a different colour, the deathwing is green as its and experiment to see what deathwing would look like if they were green, i done the chest eagles a different style as at the time i didnt know what colour the dark angels used. Ive got some anvil industry bits which have just arrived, so im gonna make a tactical squad in ancient armour which i think will look cool, as the bitz are awesome and really add alot of character ill post some pics soon once ive built a few Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bryan Blaire Posted January 8, 2014 Share Posted January 8, 2014 They look nice, you've got a good start going! if I could make a couple of suggestions: On the decals on the Dread, paint over them with some Lahmian Medium. For your plasma guns, paint some white across the individual coils on top and just at the edges, then glaze it with a Guilliman Blue glaze. As far as the chest aquilas, the DA are usually bone or sometimes dull silver/iron. The blue is interesting, but somewhat jarring. Looking forward to seeing the ancient armor!
