The fate of Vulkan

But he has only been awake for a relatively short period of time. Whoever the giant is, he technically only just acquired him.

It's safe to presume he stole him, which renders that point moot. Could be Vulkan, stolen from the dark eldar slavers, but then again Vulkan wouldn't be so idle unless he died, which he wouldn't have.

Which makes Russ, Khan, Corax, etc, all viable too. Hell, for all we know, it could be a Thunder Warrior.

Personally, I'd still bet diamonds to dollars it's a Custodian, lost in the webway since the siege of Terra. Or some other such nonsense.

I preferred Necrons when they were mindless. *sigh*

I did say 'acquired' for a reason.

Edit: No offense 1000heathens, but I don't. Oldcrons seemed lazy to me, and the Newcrons gave them much needed identity, character, story and separated them from being Tyranids in Iron, who are now no longer Necrons in Flesh.

But that is just my opinion, I am not starting a which is better debate.

Xenos need no understanding, beyond the proper application of violent force needed to exterminate them.

There is no debate. I win.

In this particular case "Most Impressive" is not just a sentiment. It is the opinion of said beholder. That of Trayzen the Infinite. The fact that the Prismatic galleries are populated not with mere sculpture, but with living beings transmuted into hard -light holograms, reaffirms the point that if in fact Trayzen did have a Primarch, he would be one of his most prized possessions!.  Necron Overlords are well aware of the hierarchy and infrastructure of the Astartes, and value greatly the prize of a Chapter Master in 40K. I base this off of Veil of Darkness, and the assassination attempt on Marneus Calgar. If the current Chapter Master of the Ultra Marines is a high value target to a Necron Overlord, Imagine what a Primarch would be?.  I would then side with 1000heathens on this one and lean toward it being one of the Custodes.

Just wait until Saturday when the nids get a new codex. Full of character and the thoughts of each hive tyrant, and their own personality.
Cormac - The codex says that the first Tombworlds to awaken did so in time to see the Great Crusade sweep across the galaxy. It seems likely Trazyn was one of the earlier 'Crons to awaken given the size of his collection, so there's scope for him to have been around since the Heresy.

According to Lexicanum the collection contains Brother Cassiel of the BA, seconded to the Deathwatch. It notes that Cassiel was a giant Space Marine and wore the baroque armour of the Deathwatch, and that his face was frozen in a moment of fear.

It does also say that he is far from the only Space Marine in the collection, so it doesn't 100% confirm that the "Giant man in baroque armour" is Cassiel.

The source it gives is The Infinite Tableau from the Xenos Hunters anthology.

'And if you'll just step this way gentlemen, I'll show you the wonders of "Exhibit 7309b: Giant Men in Baroque Armour". Delights abound. '

He should bring out a GMiBA calendar each year, I'm sure it'd be a big seller especially with the Sisters of Battle.

It's Khan that is a prisoner of the dark elder not Vulkan unless there is another fluff?

The Khan disappears into the Webway, his fate unknown. Vulkan disappears utterly, his fate unknown.

One has a disappearance related to the Eldar in general, the other has a past related to the Dark Eldar specifically.

IIRC Vulkan fought Dark Eldar on Nocturne, but it is unknown where he disappeared to, and the Khan was sucked into a warp portal while crusading against the Dark Eldar, or possibly his ship was lost in the warp.

Which is strange because I've just taken that from Lexicanum, and the source is given as Index Astartes I, but I was sure that the Khan disappeared when he chased some DE through a Webway portal...
