Snejk
This is my Flesh Eaters captain. The body and legs come from the Sanguinary Guard box, as does the axe. The head is a Khorne berserker head, the shoulderpads are from the new vanguard box, and the wings are Tyranid Gargoyle wings. Entei
Looks great. The cold tone of the wings works great with the bright red armour. Any fluff for the daemonic wings? :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285285-flesh-eaters-captain/#findComment-3561279 Share on other sites
Snejk
Thanks guys! The wings. I have been thinking about two different scenarios for those. I have several pairs of those wings. Enough to make nine more Marines actually... As far as the fluff goes I'm thinking it's like this: The wings are the result of geneseed blessing. Marines serving long enough without succumbing to the Black Rage start developing mutations. Possibly a result of the cannibalistic rites where the Flesh Eaters consume their fallen brethern. Instead of being seen as anathema the winged beasts are seen as particularly blessed sons of Sanguinius. He was after all a winged angel of death himself.
