Once its done I'm going to try and make a mold of it and IF it works I may be able to make copies for people. We'll see how it goes. (keep in mind, they are not finished yet) because the banner has two sides, I did dakka banner on one side and put the RW symbol on the flip side. I'm on to a new list with a dakkapole-toting DWCS in crusader flanked by crusaders ferrying thundernator squads followed by the bike-PFG-libby...but at 2000 points, I'd be making that DWCS a scoring thundernator squad and giving the dakkapole to a RWCS as an escort to the libby.... The pic was taking at an angle thats why the top looks smaller than the bottom. Another thought is that I will make a mold of the inner image for both sides, then make a mold of a blank banner. then while the 2 smaller images are curing, place it in the correct places. I take the relief on a sculpt as a painting guide, it doesn't have to be flawless...decent paint will make a silk purse out of a sow's ear...hell, look what we did with GW's horrid sculpts in the 80s! Leaning towards bikes, but not sure I want to swallow $50/3 for Black Knights and Command Squad... I would like to kit bash characters though. I'll start a WIP thread for a deathwing dakkapole bearer (yeah, it's a power-armor-sized banner, but it's going to be epic) soon. The boatload of 5th company banners are after that. Why a deathwing dakkapole? 3 crusaders=84 *twinlinked* shots at an effective 30", that's why! All the shooting of a conventional army (granted, coming from 3 models), and all the face-punching of a thundetnator list...having my cake and eating it, too!
