Contingency Rho: Alpha Legion Kill-Team W.I.P.

Recommended Posts

With the new Kill-Team rules comes a new Kill-Team project and as I already have a Deathwatch/Sternguard squad to go with my Imperial Army I figured some Alpha Legionnaires would be perfect to go with my Chaos as the whole “behind enemy lines” thing is kind of a big deal with them. I used the Master of Relics and the FW Legion Recon Squad plus a bits-box raid to construct these models.

I wanted most of the overtly chaos parts to look almost cosmetic due to the Alpha Legions ambiguity. No mutations or warped armour. Perhaps they are only wearing the spikes & chains to fit in when dealing with other warbands or maybe they are designed to be removed while infiltrating Imperial positions. Perhaps like the First Claw of the Night Lords trilogy they are more tainted than they want to admit.

"Alpharius"

"Alpharius" Here is the squads champion. With his sensor dish and camera suit I imagine him normally operating far away from the main operation coordinating the battle and only involving himself should the situation demand it.

Aecron

Aecron here is holding a cut-down auto-cannon off of a sentinel. He is one of the specialists, have yet to decide weather he gets Relentless or Scout however. Not visible in this picture is a tech-marine shoulder pad which added to the vox-masts jutting from his pack gives him the appearance of the units "Tech specialist

Vrost

Vrost here has claimed a tainted blade which I imagine is slowly corrupting him. He is the Dirty-Fighting specialist with the Fleshbane rule, unlike the others he is the only one charging forward which I thought appropriate to one unwittingly bound into the service of the Blood God.

Flintok

Our last specialist is Yuten, the Sniper. Not very visible is the High-Elf dagger and gems attached to his greaves. I wanted a little hint that he might be falling into the worship of Slaanesh, collecting eldar spirit stones and maybe revelling in the sensation of the perfect, distant kill.

Churl

Churl here is the only one here to have some obviously chaos tainted armour but beyond that he is the most nondescript of them all.

Yuten

Yuten stands tallest aside from "Alpharius" and because of this to me seems like he is enjoying it the most, I think he gets a big a kick out of the treason as he does setting things on fire.

Will update with painted pictures soon :)
