Gentlemanloser
?? No they're not. You can take Mystics from Codex: Grey Kngihts, but the Inquisitorial Henchman unit from Codex: Inquisition *doesn't* contain Mystics... This is Incorrect. The mystics are available from Codex: Inquisition,as the chart in Codex: Inquisition (which specifies is IN ADDITION tothe standard allies chart, thus it's own entity) lists Codex: GreyKnights as Battle Brothers with Codex: Inquisition. So use thosemystics! Which by the by, come out of the bonus 3 elites from C: =][=,not the standard C: GK force org. INP, I've reread this, and have no idea what you're saying! lol ;) Taking units form C:GK does not, and can not use the C:I FoC slot. I think you've misunderstood the allies rule here... Inquisitor Fox
Actually, I'm completely confused by what you're saying. The copies of Codex: =][= I've seen distinctly have Mystics in them (rules and options). What I was thinking you were saying was that Grey Knights couldn't use them because they weren't battle brothers, which according to the chart in Codex: =][= they are. What copies of Codex: =][= have you seen that don't have Mystics? They were in the options of the Warband when I've looked (right above the weapons options for Acolytes, where it says 3-12 models of the various types at the listed points costs). Gentlemanloser
Opps. Maybe it wasn't Mystics. But Codex: Inquisition Warbands lost a henchman type to gain Priests. I could have sworn it was Mystics. Probably to stop every Imperial army picking up Battle Brother living Homers. Edit: Unless this was changed in an update, I've only got the original version of the Codex, prior to things like the bugfix for Karamazovs Orbital Strikes. Inquisitor Fox
I know they swapped hierophants/banishers/whatsits for imperial priests... same theme, different name. The ones that made it difficult terrain for charging daemons. Gentlemanloser
Was it banishers that went? Could have sworn C:I still had those! lol I need to check tonight when I'm home from work. Totally hold my hands up as wrong if Mystics are still there. Edit; If they are, then an Inquisitor from C:I with the Scout Book and a Squad of Henchmen with a Mystic in a Chimera could be a nice option. As the Chimera (or LR!) is a dedicated Transport, the C:I Inquisitor can ride in it and give it Scout. Scout it forward, and the Mystics battle brother Homer takes its area of effect from the Chimeras/Land Raiders hull. That could be *very nice* for Deep Striking forces, especially those that come in Turn 1 (like Deathwing or Drop Pods). irwit
Ok so i have an idea but I'm not sure how productive it will actually be ... Mechanised acolytes, with bolters, in chimeras, each with a mystic, Say 3 or 4 units plus a landraider with DCAs and mystic. . These guys storm up the board and act as my becons for the deep striking units? Grey knighst arrive with human shields and within stormbolter range. This gives me options as to where to put the grey knights and they can basically arrive exactly where they are needed and have a support unit close by. Gentlemanloser
INP, I was absolutely wrong. :) It was Banishers that were dropped from C:I in favour of Priests. Mystics are still there. Inquisitor Fox
It's all good :) I'm absolutely horrible at most of the Marine armies options, but since the Inquisition is my favored force well.. I kind of obsess a little :) This is why it's productive to have group discussions, as we each present ideas the others may have missed!
