Heresy army lists (planning for the future)

Now in plan on doing all 18 legions but I want to do 2000pts of each legion starting with the death guard then following through to world eaters sons of Horus emperors children etc.

 

So my brothers I won't be using them in any games anytime soon but I still want them to be viable using the legion specific rights of war.

 

 

So give me a 2000 pt list for dg

Well just from reading other lists I've seen posted, as I don't have the books yet, maybe this as a base.

 

Praetor, Cataphract, powerscythe or paragon blade

 

Death Shroud with Praetor in Raider

 

2 x 20 man tacticals

 

2 x apothecaries

 

tactical support squad flamers (DG get ChemMunition upgrade on flamers)

 

Destroyers

 

Grave Wardens

 

Medusas with Phosphex shells

 

That's just Death Guard themed stuff I got off top of my head.

Using the new DG right of war I'd take advantage of being able to take heavy support squads as non compulsory troops, ten man squad of those baddies in a transport, plow up the field hop out and execute a squad with heavy flamers :) 10 chem munition heavy flamers will cause a ridiculous amount of wounds! And heaven help anyone who wants to assault that unit ;) 10 D3 wall of death hits that reroll failed wounds!!!!! That should soften up anything that isn't a dreadnought that is trying to charge them :)

They get shred gets hot and I'm not sure what else, haven't got my book in front of me.

 

What I'd like to do is base them around 2x 10 man HS with heavy flamers and volkite culverns, I'm also considering typhon and deathshroud body guard.

 

But I want to work some tanks and stuff, I just want to know what would be considered a competitive list whilst staying fluffy.

 

 

Next will be the WE then I'll be working on the emperors children so by the end of the first 4 forces there will be 8000pts

so im thinking this

I'm too drunk to look this over in detail...it's a Saturday and football!!!....but all those flamers look nasty.

 

Though why the rhino for the culverins?

So I can run them as I can't advance or run, also means I can use a rhino as a shield and if need be run it as a mechanized assault list.

 

Ahh indeed! Good idear laddie. What happened to only 2000 per list, or is this your main list?

 

 

Oh and maybe we should start something in the wip section, I'm thinking about starting to put up my Dark Angel XVth Cataphracts ;)
