TheAurelian
Alright in this prophesy concerning argel tal and his death in the shadow of great wings i am slightly confused because in aurelian Lorgar sees Argel tal standing tall at the Ultima???gate on Tera and is cut down by Sanguinius. I understand that he died in betrayer and this just confused me because the prophesy was fulfilled but Lorgar saw the future as him being kiled by sanguinius. Please clarify! someone please. As much as i woud like argel tal to not be dead. i understand it indicated that he died when erebus stabbed him. Im hoping that this wound only killed raum and somehow he survived. I also understand he purpose of killing off a character and how some of you were miffed that Loken was brought back. Hyaenidae
He saw the future a Daemon showed him. Truths, half-truths, and lies. Lorgar saw exactly what he was meant to see. Trying to decipher such prophecies is what usually drives worshipers insane. Kol Saresk
The "dying in the shadow of great wings" was something Raum said to Argel Tal in The First Heretic. At the battle of Istvaan V, a scene was written where for a moment, he was in corax's shadow, who at the time had wing-props on his jump pack. Then when we saw Aurelian, many of us assumed Sanguinius at Terra. Instead he died beneath the shadow of a giant statue depicting the Aquila. And so Argel Tal died "beneath the shadow of great wings". As Lorgar said in Betrayer(paraphrased) "There are more than Ten Thousand Paths to the future and not all of them are true."
