gezabutla
Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice on the where's and what's of getting plasticard in NZ.I'm looking for card that's 1mm thick, and maybe some 0.5mm too, it's for adding stature to my marines. Trouble is I'm not sure if I should be after anything specific or where I'd go about obtaining it.Your help is appreciated! Disruptor_fe404
MY FLGS can get in the Gale Force 9 plasticard set, which is what I buy. Alternatively, you could try model shops. The ones that sell model train sets and car sets and stuff. Failing that, maybe an art store, though I'd call that one a long shot at best. And welcome to the B&C! gezabutla
That set looks fantastically convenient, actually. I might have to grab a set online as I don't have a decent local store. Thanks for the reply, and the welcome! Reichfaust
The Gordon Harris art supply stores have a good range of styrene plastic sheets, and reasonably priced too. I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you have one nearby--I lived 2 minutes walk away from one in central Wellington last year, now I'm living down in Christchurch only to find the only Gordon Harris in town was destroyed in the 'quake EDIT--Nevermind, a quick google has shown me they re-opened! Yay! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285630-plasticard-in-new-zealand/#findComment-3571224 Share on other sites

I figured they would, but never actually bothered looking at my local, hence my 'long shot' comment. I can only assume that all stores would carry the same stuff, but the Wellington store stocks fairly large sheets (somewhere between A4-A3) for around $3-5 dollars depending on thickness. Not too shabby! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285630-plasticard-in-new-zealand/#findComment-3571341 Share on other sites
