rjpstoked
I see many great painters using basic metal bolt guns an CC weaps. can anyone help direct me to a tutorial or even advise how to get the brilliant results. I know wash is important, but my weaps seems obnoxious, and takes too much time away from troop...thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285796-painting-weapon-and-pack/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
Would you be able to post a pic of the result you're looking for? It'll help to give suggestions on how to achieve said look. Forté
A pic of how yours are would help too. It could be that you're trying to get a dark effect with one wash which will pool, when two or three thin coats work better. You can also start darker by mixing black with your metal colour on a pallet. Odsox
Basecoat with Leadbelcher, wash generously with Agrax Earthshade and then Nuln Oil for serious filth, then drybrush with Leadbelcher and edge highlight with Runefang Steel. Done. Of course there are other ways, I just find that the above does fine for me. Od.
