Unfortunately I didn't do my matte spray right and it wrinkled on them. Did it too close. Been having trouble with that lately. Think I'm goign to swicth to a paint on matte. So I have one fully painted (except the bottom) and 2 half painted Rhinos. That was a whole pot of paint! Went through a whole can of propellant to. Got the Spartan and Omega shields from Scibor Miniatures to use as their Storm Shields. Also have a Thunderfire to put together. Further on, Storm talons and Sternguards, Ironclad, and would like some Centurions. As for Verdigris... I have the nihilak oxide paint, and have experimented with it a bit, but haven't gotten great results with it yet. Need to practice more before I use it on these guys. Kronus Stormbringer Posted February 7, 2014 Share Posted February 7, 2014 I think if you put vergiris on the marines you have to be very selective about its placement, put it on the actual metal parts of the armour around the collars or wrists etc, honour chains. The armour itself is ceramite painted bronze/gold so wouldnt exactly discolour, and certainly any marine not paying respect to his armours machine spirit by having the chapter serfs and artificers polish it up would get a good slap :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

netminder69 Posted February 13, 2014 Author Share Posted February 13, 2014 Progress updates. Had my first game against Necrons. Played The Relic, lost by one. So here's the 2nd Squadron in progress. Need to still get teh XV-88 onto the bolters, the eyes done, some Leadbelcher, Mephiston Red onto the pauldrons and the purity seals. That's about it. I'm Quickshading the troops, but not the Rhinos.
