So you love Centurion (even if you hate the minis. Which I don't! ), but don't like thier slowness, or Grav Cannons 24" Range. Introducing the Daisy Chain of DOOM!!!! You will need, 2 GK Librarian, 2 C:I Inqusitors, 2 C:I Warbands with one Mystic Each and as many Centurion Squads as you want! We start by taking a GK Librarian with The Summoning, and attach him to a Warband Unit with an Inquisitor with the Book of Scout on a 2d6 roll of 10 or less. Deploy them at the edge of your DZ. Scout them forward. First turn, you use that Squad to cast 'The Summoning' and summon your second GK Librarian (attached to a Warband unit with Mystic), 6" infront. You then use the second (just summoned) GK Librarian (12" forward from your DZ, give or take), to summon 2 (or 3 if you upgrade the GK Libby to PML3) Centurion units 6" ahead of him. Neither scatter, thanks to the Mystics. And you slow Centurion units start thier first turn 18" from your DZ. The only issue here is a nice little rule discussion with your opponent on whether; place using the Deep Strike rules Trigger Interceptor/IBEY or not. > Go nuts, have fun! Edit; Can't leave out some prospective costs... HQ: GK Librarian, The Summoning (155) HQ: GK Librarian, The Summoning, (155) HQ: Inqusitor, Book (Can't remember book cost 45?) HQ Inquisitor, PML1 (55) - Doesn't get attached to the Libbies. TL some squad Elite: Mystic, 2x Warrior Acolyte (18) Elite: Mystic, 2x Warrior Acolyte (18) Elite: Assault Centurion x3, Meltagun x3 (190) Heavy: Dev Centurion x3, Grav Cannons (250) Total: 886 This excludes 2 GK troops and a Red Hunter HQ and Troop, which are manditory. Edit2: If you want MOAR Centurion, you'll have to have the GK as allies, and only have one summon. Not really a daisy chain then, but you could get three Centurion Squads about 12" up first turn. It's also not the same Teleportation that Personal Teleporters use. And PTs don't utilise Teleport Homers. So to do a Unit of Dev and Assault, you're looking at over 500 for just the Transports. Plus there's capacity limits. irwit Posted January 21, 2014 Share Posted January 21, 2014 You can get 5 in a landraider crusader plus a storm shield commander. Not sure how many more you will need then that. I like your idea but I think maybe having mordrak plus librarian maybe better but then you could only summon turn two.summoning wording really annoys me.
