It starts with..

‘I was there,’ he would say, right up until the day he died, after which he spoke only infrequently. ‘I was there the day Horus saved the Emperor.’

Story opens with the Luna wolves in what appears to be a losing space battle with greenskins, Abandon and Hastur are arguing, or rather, Abandon is getting angry at Hastur.

The Mournvil meet with Hours to discuss the apparent back foot they are on and Hours has adept regulus 'illuminate' them, Hastur interprets the data they are given and Tarrick quips about them not making sense unless there was another fleet there, which there isn't.

Hours gives in to his theatrical nature as has been seen in other stories and times his declaration of a second fleet being brought to them just as a new one enters space...

It's the Emperor's own flagship and its support fleet, with this addition the two imperial fleets obliterate the greenskins and the emperor requests permission to come aboard.

There is a scene describing that Hastur hasn't been so awed since the primach and then a scene where the mournvil perform one of their rituals, which calls back to 'death of a silversmith' as the tokens that Hastur had commissioned are included, as is mention of oaths of censure, which Hastur uses to keep the mournvil and by extension hours 'honest'. It also mentions a traitor, there is some implication that he may even have been a member of the mournvil prior to one or more of the others.

The remainder of the book deals with horus, abandon, the emperor, justarean and custodians fighting orks after teleporting in, and in a different location Hastur leading his glory squad.

The emperor falls through a fissure and horus leaps after him, meanwhile the glory squad mostly get killed and Hastur leads them toward a signal that can only be the emperor.

Horus lands and sees his father fighting a group of irks the size of primarchs and one that is even larger than them, the emperor is nearly slain but horus manages to save him just as Hastur and the remainder of glory squad arrive.

Quick test to see if it was the quote inside the spoiler that did it.

It is pretty awesome that we get to see Gorro. I can't wait for it gets a normal release.

Edit: Looks like that did it. So quick note for folks, don't add quote boxes to spoilers. It apparently confuses the system, locks them open.

I'd love to read that, but I ain't coughing up a forture for Macragge's Honour to get it....

I'd love to read them both but I'm not paying a fortune for a graphic novel either.  Hopefully Macragge's Honour will get a regular non-limited edition release at a semi-reasonable price.

Phoebus: My guess would be that if you ordered it via the BL page (unsure if it was avaliable anywhere else) then it might have been added to the 'My downloads' bit. If not it would probably be best to shoot BL and email asking where abouts you would find it.

I really want to read  about the part were the "mournvil perform one of their rituals".  Ive been trying to argue that there is some low level magic invoked in this ritual.  And that Loken sensed what it was all about in Horus rising.  Perhaps the "traitor" some how tainted it all some how.

A great Imperial Warlord rebeled (pre-HH).  Created a little empire of his own.  Only to be attacked by 4 legions.  Who killed everything...  Everything.  The traitor's skull was dipped in gold and sent back to Terra.  With the message "So perish all traitors".
