Help With Info for Word Bearers!

Hello all, I want to build an Horus Hersey Word Bearers army from the new rule set from Forgeworld. But besides for the Legions obvious love for Daemons and Chaplains, what are the other more unique choices in the army?? Are thr troop choices foot sloggers or do they ride in Rhinos? Heavy Choices as in which particular tank were they partial to in battle? Tatical squad armaments and things of that nature. I've searched the forums and internet, but could not find anything definitive. I was hoping someone can shed some light on this or point me in the right direction. Thanks Guys!

The Word Bearers were a very large Legion and so I would imagine that there are endless variations from assault companies to armored divisions, so really what ever you fancy most will fit in with a Late crusade/heresy era Word Bears force. The legion had a particular affinity for flame weaponry (used in their role as iconoclasts burning false doctrine.) Additionally, The chapter of The Star of Judgement was notable for extensively using destroyer squads and proscribed weaponry to annihilate cultures that Lorgar deemed weren't worth saving. Finally, the most recognizable XVII legion formation would probably be the Gal Vorbak, the first Possessed Astartes.

Hope this helps you out Brother.

Massacre gives some insight into chapter tactics and equipment. Being One of the largest legions, there is still plenty of space to include one you'd favour.

At Istvaan, Pre-dominant Mark seems to have been IV with the Legion being well connected with the Warmaster and the traitorious Mechanicum.

Specialists would probably keep the older III

The Ashen Circle seems to have some modified Destroyer Armour Mark (Mk Cylon?)

WB had still kept their Librarius up which is proba ly a pool for the Diabolist HQ Choice (though I doubt every diabolist being a former Librarian).

While on the subject...any thoughts if the WB Libbies would use psychic hoods?(which is more a modelling question)
