Cool inquisitor models?

I've been thinking more and more it'd be really fun to create an Inquisitor + Retinue just as a fun modelling/painting break from my Marines.

I'm not a fan of the GW ones though, particuarly. I liked that limited edition guy with the Plasma pistol.

Does anyone know of any good Inquisitor sort models? Or any good conversion ideas? :)

I've seen someone online somewhere use this as a base for one. Not sure of anything else that might suit though.

I loved the ltd edition Gideon Lorr. For inspiration check out some of the inqusitor 28 logs on warseer and Dakka. Some great ideas using fantasy models as a base.

I intend to do Ravenors crew one day. Got a great idea for a floating armoured box with twin mini psy cannon. Swole and Kys are planned also.

I saw Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Valeria converted from the Dark Eldar Lahmean:

Other than that Forge World has a couple very interesting models and as mentioned before Fantasy models are generally a great source, particularly Empire stuff. Too bad they no longer seem to sell the duelists but other than them the Empire Generals can be a good source of bits, the wizard kit has some cool stuff like a flaming sword excellent for Inquisitors and warrior priests always make good acolytes or even the base of an Inquisitor.

Also if your going Ordo Xenos a Dark Eldar Archon could potentially be used as the base of an Inquisitor and a Cannoness makes a good female Inquisitor. Lastly don't forget the Imperial Guard, the Catachan and Cadian Command Squads are excellent sources of bits.

Thanks for the replies so far, for anyone else interested i've found these sites which have some cool ideas.

Bruticus over at Dakka has got some real peaches. This one should come with the warning: Likelihood of wanting to collect a truescale Emperors Children army Risk Severity = 1000000000

Personally I'm not a fan of using space marine PA/TDA as I feel Inquisitors lack the muscle and black carapace to interface with it.  Other than what has already been mentioned The old necorunda range had some nice figures (I've used spire hunters, orlocks, van saar, escher & cawdor in the past) so you might want to track some of them down on an auction site.  When I start building my own warabnd I'm going to use Thrain the lost as a counts as jokero (fluff him as the last living squat).

Avatars of War do a couple of models that might suit.  One is called a 'Witch Hound', somewhat in the Style of Gideon Lorr, and you could use this guy as is without converting.  The other model is called a 'War Priest".  With a small amount of converting, I think he would make a really great Inquisitor.  You can find these guys at the COOL MINI OR NOT website.

If you want one, I have a mint unpainted Gideon Lorr for sale.

cheers
