Deathwatch

Buy command squads and commander boxes whenever you might want them. They should each come with about two should pads each for deathwatch. I might be wrong on the commander box but I know the command squad does. The advantage of the deathwatch kit is it gives you the unique bolters with fire selectors that you can't normally get in any kit. Plus its enough for ten different models to become deathwatch marines. (Only the left shoulder gets the deathwatch should pad after all)

Yeah, but for 23 € its not worth it.

Actually, it is worth it if you use all the bits. 30 bits for $25 is under $1 a bit. Bits go for $1 minimum on eBay. Sometimes $0.50, but usually $1 minimum for a single bit. If you buy a whole sprue with multiple bits on it then it will be cheaper, but that's about the average price. If you don't use the heads, it's still close to $1 per bit.

If you compare getting the plastic Deathwatch shoulders by only buying boxes or from eBay/bits sites, it costs more and you can't get the bolters.

Not trying to convince you to buy GW's pack, just giving some perspective. GW's little upgrade packs tend to be worth it. Like their old kit of 5 meltas for $10. Very worth it back when melta guns cost $10 each on eBay and only came on per box.

Also I've paid up to $5 for a single helmet before. The Venerable Dreadnought helms, Forge World bits, and the rare Black Templar Mk VII crusader head with no vent grills. So dealing in bits can often be "not worth it" as people sell individual pieces for much higher cost to meet the demand and make profit.
