Bases for Attack Bikes?

The old Rogue Trader attack bike has the side car connected at just one point, and I'm finding they have often bent or broken at that joint, so I'm thinking they would be safer on bases to take the strain off the join.

So does anyone currently base their attack bikes and if so on what?

I really must BUY some bases so I can judge these things more easily, blu-tacked one together and it fits exactly on a 50mm square so I think 60mm round will be perfect, thanks.

.... do people really do that? I'm glad I don't play in that sort of environment!

I've notced a number of manufacturers have started providing wider bike bases e.g. Dragonforge:

I have not tried them, or measured out attack bikes (current or RT), so don't know if they fit.

Hmmm, I quite like the wider bike bases from Dragonforge, they would tie in nicely with the normal bike bases. I wonder if I can find any in plain plastic / resin / mdf. A triangle, obviously with rounded corners for the WH40k aesthetic, would work pretty well too. As for the round base under the wheel, I'd considered that, only with the bike base across wise to support the rear wheel and sidecar wheel, and a single round base under the front wheel!
