Elite choice opinions?

Can I get an opinion on Elite choices?

I've just been using Beast of Nurgle as an anti-assault-assault. Putting them next to things that are particularly squishy in assault. Or using them to tar pit something,

I've also been using Fiends for more gimmicky things that are effective against low Initiative.

So far, I haven't really used Khorne or Tzeentch.

Can I get some opinions on all the Elites - i.e. what you've been using (or not), how you have been using them?

Thanks!

The elite section is the less used section of or codex. I believe this is because our elite options are not good all around units.

I have never used Beasts of nurgle and don't own them so i can not comment on them. I heard that they are used just as you describe them.

I used the fiends one time (only own 2 and proxied more with some spawns that one time) Their ability to disrupt psykers is their strongest ability. If used against both gunline and psykic opponents they could probably do good.

Flamers will do wonders if faced with horde or low toughness enemies. I have used them with great success against eldar and imperial guard. Drop the grimoire on them for a 3++ reroll one save the turn they arrive from reserves or jump from a line of sight blocking building and they become a huge and durable threat.

I have used bloodcrushers with a Fatecrusher build. fateweaver, Karanak with big crusher unit and a couple of tzeentch heralds following with a unit of screamers. Unfortunatly their fewer numbers compared to fleshhounds made them a little hit or miss. Play first and get the buffs quick and you have an insanly powerful deathstar. Lose the buffs or take a lot of long range shooting turn 1 and you will probably lose a very expensive unit with no gain. I have seen bloodcrushers used by deepstriking a small unit while the opponent is busy with bigger threats. With 150 points you get a unit that is strong enough to take out non dedicated melee units or hunt tanks. The problem with this tactic is that an experience opponent that know they are coming will be able to allocate the not so big firepower they need in order to die.

Hope that helps.

Fiends with a herald + locus of beguilement is great

I use them in tandem with flesh hounds and spawn and I have to say it's a damn good combination

I've never had a nice time with Beasts and I think there are better ways to get AP3 on the board than bloodcrushers (unless you're prepared to revolve a list around them)
