Orbital Strike Relay and Inquisitor Karamazov

I'm wondering if the Orbital Strike Relay can be used multiple times per game.  The Orbital Bombardment of a Space Marine specifically says one shot.  In the new Codex Inquisition it says, "Once per game, the bearer can call down and orbital...." but in the Grey Knights codex it says, "is treated as a ranged weapon that can be used provided that the bearer did....... EACH time the orbital strike relay is used...."
I'm asking this as being used by Inquisitor Karamazov.  Since he is in both Codex does that mean that if he is taken out of a Grey Knights detachment then it is multi use and if from the Codex Inquisition its one time use???

You use the rule as it is written in the book you are using.

If you take Karamazov as part of a Grey Knights detachment then so long as he stays still he can use it as many times as you have turns.

If you take Karamazov as part of a Inquisition detachment then it is once per game.

The GK codex hasn't been Errataed/FAQed to change the rule so it remains unchanged.

Just an update.  Codex: Inquisition was FAQed earlier after release to correct a few things.

One of these was Karamazovs OSR.  It works the same as it does in C:GK, so you can shoot it any number of times.

OSR= orbital strike relay?  where is that limitation stated?

It's not a limitation, but the number of OSR you can total field in a single GK Detachment;

HQ: Karamazov/GKGM/GKBC - OSR

HQ: GKGM/GKBC - OSR

Elite: Techmarine - OSR

Elite: Techmarine - OSR

Elite: Techmarine - OSR

As usual, if you play a Dual FoC you could take 10 OSR.

  • 2 months later...

Actually... you can include 6 OSRs in a single FOC.

  1. HQ-- Grand Master or Brother Captain with OSR
  2. HQ-- Grand Master or Brother Captain with OSR
  3. ELITE-- Techmarine with OSR
  4. ELITE-- Techmarine with OSR
  5. ELITE-- Techmarine with OSR
  6. Inquisition Detachment HQ-- Inquisitor Karamazov

Using the D3 Ordnance strike you can have anywhere from 6 to 18 large blasts per round.*

*provided no one moves, gets killed, is in close combat, and there is always LOS to a target.
