Death Watch detachment

Oh man, the dreadnought is off to a great start- what did you use to make the lettering indentations in the green stuff trim?

Your deathwatch marines are looking pretty spiffy too Maverike.

As an aside though, any chance you'll be putting up a new video on your storm talon conversion anytime soon?

I used Instant Mold to create forms of the letters from the Ven Dred kit. I then took an extra fine file to the surface on the shoulder armor of the dread to give it a surface to apply a layer of green stuff over. Once I had the layer of Green Stuff down I used the raised lettering forms to press the letters into the green stuff.

As for the question of the Storm Talon video, not until I actually finish the video. I am working on it but I have other priorities to attend to frst.

Dragon Forge's Ancient Ruins Series

I absolutely love Jeff's work and products. I've tried dozens of bases from different companies. Many of them have some visual interest, but they're largely hit or miss, or they bank on the end user committing to do something on the final model to make the base work (I'm looking at you Secret Weapon Minuatures' death and decay series where you basically have to use water effects to make the base visually work!). But Jeff's bases are solid no matter what you do with them.

I've used his bases in several of my projects:
