DA fluff is def the way to go in my opinion. I've looked at a lot of the C:SM codex chapters and honestly I still can't find one I like better than DA. Plus with the way allies are today anything missing from a DA codex you want from the Regular chapters you can just ally it in. And to second Isiah, Do you really want to be against us? Polythemus Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 Well i wont fault you if you dont end up as a permanent member of the rock. Keep this in mind though. Rules come and go but your models dont as long as you dont sell them and keep playing. Dark angels have some of the coolest paint schemes and units around. The backstory is also great, but there are many great backstories in 40k. If your the kind of guy who likes a challenge on the table top and loves to paint and model cool miniatures that all those other marines dont have then Dark Angels might be for you.
