Jolemai
The rules for the Exarch Power Fast Shot, C:E page 30:This model always fires one more shot than is normal for his weapon (a shuriken pistol therefore fires two shots, a shuriken catapult fires three shots, etc). This power can not be used when firing a blast weapon. The rules for Gun Emplacements, BRB page 116:One model in base contact with the gun emplacement can fire it instead of his own weapon, following the normal rules for shooting. The type of weapon on the gun emplacement depends on the model that you're using to represent it - some shooting weapon profiles can be found starting on page 56.My question is, does a Gun Emplacement count as the model's weapon for the purposes of using Fast Shot to fire another shot? Morollan
"his weapon" is not defined in the rules anywhere but I've never had anyone argue that an Exarch can't use Fast Shot on a quadgun (or similar). Isiah
I guess you could argue that an emplacement weapon isn't actually 'his' weapon - he is firing it instead of 'his' weapon. Therefore it doesn't get the Fast Shot. Just puttin' it out there <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286217-exarch-powers-and-gun-emplacements/#findComment-3583541 Share on other sites
Fibonacci
"his weapon" is not defined in the rules anywhere but I've never had anyone argue that an Exarch can't use Fast Shot on a quadgun (or similar). The wording is not limited to an Exarch either and comes up in other codices as well. I have never seen it played any other way then whatever weapon he is firing is his weapon -- or "her" weapon in case of Battle Sisters who have a similar rule. That's hardly difinitive proof of anything but, there you go. It is his weapon even if only for 1 turn.
