New Prior, need informations...

Tenebris

Recommended Posts

Greetings, recently I managed to trade some of my chaos space marines for a token force of Adepta Sororitas, a long time wish of mine, sadly unheard by GW since I planned to invest heavy in new plastic sisters... as much of you here, I presume. So to cut short I managed to get my hands upon some ancient metal models:

St.Celestine

Sisters of Battle Squad, 10 + special weapons

Sisters of Battle Squad, 10 + special weapons and icon

5 Seraphims

15 Sisters Repentia

1 Exorcist

1 Immolator

1 Sister Hospitaler

1 OH Inquisitor

I plan to field it either as main or as ally for Imperial Guard/Space Marines or Inquisition, thus I would really like to hear some tips in which direction to go. I don't plan to buy more Adepta bar the minimum required. Can you give me a direction in which to go with my buying.

"special weapons"

Do you know off hand what these are?  flamers, heavy flamers, melta, multi-melta, heavy bolters or (gasp) storm bolters?

Right off I would say they could use 1 or 2 more Immolators.  Having 2 is good, 3 would be nice but that's all you need for now.  I like the GW Immolator models, they cost the same as a rhino and can be used as either depending if put the turret on top or cover the hole with a hatch.

What you need?

Seraphim special weapons. Other than that, you have a viable list just there (depending on the special weapons, of course - storm bolters are basically only good for proxying as heavy bolters).

Sadly, the Hospitaller is useless except as an Inquisitorial Acolyte unless you get a lot of models to go with her. You can only take a Hospitaller in a Sororitas Command Squad, which needs a Canoness and four other SCS members. Personally, I would get a Banner Bearer (the original one if you can, with the bare banner pole you can put a paper banner on), a Canoness, and three Sisters Superior to make the SCS out of... but your mileage may vary. In an allied army, you might be better off just putting the Hospitaller to one side and finding another use for her. She goes quite nicely as a medic in a Guard Company Command Squad with carapace armour, for example. She's a beautiful model either way and deserves to be used. ^^;

As allies, you might want to take your two squads of 10 sisters, use them as a single squad of 20 Sisters and use the extra models left over (sister superior, special weapons) as a 5-strong Dominion squad in the immolator. Then again, you can't use the Seraphim that way. ^^;

For guard allies the Repentia would be great for counter assault duty, since they are scary and mobile enough to get into position.

Seraphim I would leave at home and Celestine can deepstrike somewhere to make a nuisance of herself.

Welcome Tenebris, you made the right decision casting away the nefarious traitors in exchange for the blessed light of the Emperor!

As has been mentioned you have a viable allied force, but what the special weapons are is quite important. Melta and flamer is what you really need. Another Immo/Rhino would be nice as Fib said but not essential, the same for Battle Sisters as the Troop unit is the core to a successful army so you can never go wrong with a few more.

You will find Sisters make for very good allies to both Marines and Guard as they can fill a hole or take a role for the primary force letting you focus them on something else :)
