I would go for the wash that they are currently still producing, if you plan on making a whole army and you run out of an OOP wash or color it sucks. They are fairly close, but better safe than sorry.

Good point, but I did hoard some of the old washes as I really liked them. I have 3 unopened pots of badab black, so no worries there!!

Nuln Oil has more of a flat/matte finish to it, and you need to shake it extremely well before using it.  I haven't noticed any real difference between the color though.
