From my gaming experience these are the most effective units I've fielded considering points cost. Please feel free to add your own.

Rune priest jaws bombs (in a pod)

Rune priest insta killing demon princes in combat, hint get them to charge you in terrain they have no assault grenades.

Outflanking saga of the hunter priest with full plasma hunter pack with TDAWG onto an objective. 8 plasMa shots. Expensive tho.

4 missiles and 1 lascannon fangs split firing the lc.

Heavy bolter fangs with prescience and perfect timing.

Hunter pods both with TDAWG rerollable saves OR 10 strong with 2 special weapons.

Heavy flamer TDAWG in pods.

Vindicators in armour lists.

Stormwing skyhammer talons, anti-tank ravens. Good source of AP2 as angles help avoid cover. Also missile concuss so make targets initiative 1 for jaws fun!

Inquisitors as cheap divination and cheap scoring troops.

heavy bolter speeders in squads of 3 kept back. Try and prescience them.

Aegis / bastions

Does the bulky rule (which applies to TDA) not overrule outflank? Cant remember off the top of my head but im sure theres something which stop you using Soth with terminators? If not, id be having 5-6 terminators, all armed with combiplas/combimelta.

You could still outflank WG in power armour for sure though

However, unless playing logan, i much prefer to outflank a grey hunter unit, as then you can walk a scoring unit onto an objective if needed, which i find more useful:

Wolf priest (p.pistol, soth)

10x Grey Hunters, 2x Plasma, standard, wulfen

1x WG 2xC.plas (or two p.pistol if i have points), wulfen.

Also, need to add

Lone Wolf - TDA, Chainfist, Storm Shield (dogs optional).

Pretty much always makes his points back for me, and then some.

I'm not sure you cna really have h.bolter fangs with presicence and perfect timing as a 'go to unit', as whether you get perfect timing or not is random. I do however like to throw in a heavy bolter squad for cheap dakka fun.

2 units ive recently started running

wolf guard (combiplas/combimelta) x3, in a drop pod - suicide alpha strike

wolf lord - TWM, RA, SS, TH, SotBear

15 fenrisian wolves

I find this meatshield to be much more effective that running thunderwolf cavalry these days, with the abundance of ap3 weapons, TWC really need storm shields, which gets very expensive very quickly. However 15 ablative wounds with move through cover (that also happen to attack with the profile of a space marine) is very nice.

Only the model that takes SotH cannot have TDA (just give him Runic armor instead). There is nothing in the codex about the bulky rule overruling outflank, so TDAWG should be able to go with him.
