Rune Priest Ridcully
Do they tend to have each member from one legion/chapter, or can they be a mixture? I was thinking of having a fallen angel, alph legion member and a Thousand son or iron warrior in the squad, fluff wise I was thinking lone obliterators would be likely to form a cult/coven with others possibly. Sception
Fluff-wise, I think obliterators are likely so far down the path of damnation that they can hardly remember what their life was or loyalties were before. So sure, mix away, imo. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286493-obliterator-cults/#findComment-3587400 Share on other sites
Brother Heinrich
Man it's chaos. You really don't need an excuse for anything. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286493-obliterator-cults/#findComment-3587402 Share on other sites

FENRISÚLFUR
If that's how you picture the cults working, then that's how it works. I think its a cool concept to have Obliterators from different legions come to gether under the same pretense and share their arcane mastery of the binding of flesh and steel. If you decide to go forward on this dark path you should post some pictures! Iron Skull Mask
There are oblits in BL novels who sure remember which legion they belonged to. But it's chaos, why shouldn't there be dropouts banding with guys from other legions to form a mercenary group persuing their own goals. Would actually be a pretty cool concept for a novel or story! Rune Priest Ridcully
Sgt. Aquinas roared a prayer of thanks to the emperor as he reloaded his bolter to fire back at the traitors. It had seemed like they were about to be overrun, the rabble the enemy used clogging up their guns whilst the traitor marines picked them off with spell and enchanted bolt fire, when suddenly Epistolary Circeio had arrived with his terminator retinue and ancient Galbion. The librarian had been able to end the sorcerer's fell magics, the dreadnought's assault cannon shredded the cultists and a few of the traitors skulking in the ruined church across the courtyard. He had just lobbed a grenade into the chanting rabble when his skin started to tingle, Circeio tried to shout out something, but was deafened out by a loud ripping noise from behind the Ultramarine's position. Spinning round, his jaw dropped at the horrific tear in reality before him, the whisper's of a thousand voices and black light that spewed from that unearthly chasm. A split second later three figures strode out, Assault cannon's blazing, Aquinas's legs torn from under him as he brought his bolter up to fire upon the gigantic figures, each taller then a terminator. One was clad in void black plate, similar to that of the blessed and ancient Cataphracti pattern, trimmed in a bone white marble with the icon of the first legion shattered across his chest. His was a crested helm like the ancient knights of Teuoton. The second was clad a in a dusty, yet metallic dull turquoise, with bands of silver and black serpant's seemingly swmming in his plate. His helm seemed a bizarre cross between terminator and mk.XIII plate. As he watched from the ground, Aquinas realized what these monstrous warriors were as their crackling fists both morphed and transformed in blink into a pair of meltaguns, one each side of their wrist, the assault cannons going still and appearing blurred, as if their form were no longer solid as the melta guns shot into ancient Galbion, the dreadnought melting even as he turned to face them.Obliterators.
