Kol Saresk
I'm just kind of "eh" on Forgeworld showing the Nails. Betrayer described him as having a face free of scars, except where the Nails were buried in his skull. To me, the idea of visualizing someone who comes from the World Eaters Legion, is counted amongst their most brutal warriors and yet not only lacks the visibility of the implants, but has no scars except where they were put him invokes a bit more savagery than actually showing them off. But that's just personal opinion of course. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3588860 Share on other sites
Entei
I agree Kol, I thought it was a mohawk at first glance. Overall he looks good I guess, I just hope his head isn't as large as the Praetors'. Looks wierd together with FW's non-heroic-scale heads. Armond
Helmeted, definitely! Very awesome model! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3588890 Share on other sites
Emperors Teeth
I'd prefer him helmeted and with proper power armour on his arms. Isn't he supposed to have no facial scars?Delightful model nonetheless. Captain Semper
The bare head is not bad at all. I'm not so sure about the helmet though - especially when seen from the side. Indisicive on this one... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3588914 Share on other sites
Daemon2027
At first I was underwhelmed but having looked again and I'm starting to warm to the model. The helm is cool (and matches the artwork). Not sure I like the pose all that much. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3588927 Share on other sites
Balthamal
Just the fact that they have sculpted a severed hand into the base makes it a flat out winner for me Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3588929 Share on other sites
Xwingt65
The base is awesome, the bad pose and the bare arms ruin it for me. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3588930 Share on other sites
Russ Brother 92
I much prefer the helmeted version tbh - the face just doesn't catch me for some reason - lovely model though. Cerbero666
Helmeted of course. The bare face version of the model doesn't fit how I imagine Khârn. He was unscarred isn't it? Besides I really liked the Karl Richardson art from Betrayer with his helm on, so it stays. The overall model is a must have. By the way I've been off the forums for some time so sorry for asking this here but I can't find any topic respecting it, so speaking of the art, it is supposed that Richardson won't do the art for the HCs again? Has been confirmed or something? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3588980 Share on other sites
GrandMagnus
Awesome, but I would leave the helmet on. His face doesnt look at all like I had imagined him. betrayer41
i love the model, i also prefer the helmet......so i will be buying two. Personally i love the pose and bare arms AND options for two axes....i think they did a good job of making him Khârn but not too khorne Khârn i am very impressed Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3588991 Share on other sites

infyrana
Unfortunately this fig just didn't wow me at all, which is a real shame, his legs look like a lady stepping over a little fence whilst the world is falling on its side - he's angled far too much for my personal pref. Having said that, it is slowly growing on me a little... not much though, I suspect I will eventually get it and make a few minor adjustments. I prefer the helmeted version, but I dislike the helmet from the side view. I dislike the head piece simply because of the size proportions. It's like they had two blocks the same size and sculpted both face and helmet without making the head sized to fit inside the helmet. The eyes on the helmet seem very low and squished. On a positive note, it's nice to see both melee weapon options, as well as both heads. The chopped arm of the fallen marine is a nice touch as is the rest of the base, but the pose of the fallen marine needs sorting out. With regards to scar features / time period of this model - as I am no fluff bunny when it comes to Khârn, if for example this was Istvaan 3 or earlier (pre-scarred face), is it right that he would have bare arms? Conn Eremon
Is Khârn described as missing gauntlets and gloves already? I thought that was a post-Heresy, full on Chaos thing of his. depthcharge12
I like both helmet and head. That being said, this rendition of Khârn....is just lacking something. He looks like a conversion from here (not to rail anyone). I was just expecting a bit more. And the whole bare arms thing is just non sensical in my mind. The thing I don't like about his helmet is that gigantic mouth grill. I was hoping for more of the Sarum type and less of the CHAOSSS. But that's just me Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3589024 Share on other sites
Conn Eremon
Yeah, I was not really fond of that artwork in Betrayer because of the helm. Sad to see that they stick with it. But some of the World Eater helms released are pretty sweet, and can replace Khârn's lackluster one. Demus Ragnok
I'm strangely unimpressed. I've been rather happy with the character series so far. Not sure why but little Angron just doesnt do it for me. Brother Captain Lucian
I like that model a lot. Might even give him a IW conversion. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3589056 Share on other sites
Akylas
Not bad, but I feel a bit guilty that the main I've taken from the picture is that the Raven Guard has white shoulder pads. Is that their Heresy era scheme? I do love the chopped off hand on the base. Barabbas Sogalon
Can't say I'm too impressed, mainly because of the strange pose and the arms. The bare head is good, but not how I had imagined him. I do like the right shoulder pad and the severed hand, though, but that's it. NiteOwl
Hmm...what's up with his bare arms? What reasons does he have for that? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286531-fw-kh%C3%A2rn/page/2/#findComment-3589094 Share on other sites
Russ Brother 92
Wonder if anyone in the group of esteemed gsfu folks on here could model him up with a slight change to the helm (smaller grill piece) and armoured arms, plus that RG is at the most unnatural angle... DuskRaider
I like him. His pose isn't the best, but I'm sure if he was positioned at a better angle, it wouldn't be as bad. More upright and pitched forward a bit, he'd be fine. Same with the dying Marine, if he were standing a bit more upright, he'd be better. I wish they had a better shot of Gorechild, can't see it too well in the photos. The unhelmeted head isn't great, but I love his helm. I'm not too put off by the lack of armor on his arms, he's Khârn after all. It's just too bad they didn't include a third head with a Commisar cap... can't have it all, I guess. TDF
Not bad, but I feel a bit guilty that the main I've taken from the picture is that the Raven Guard has white shoulder pads. Is that their Heresy era scheme? In the Index Astartes both the 30K and 40K Raven Guard have black shoulder pads with a white Chapter symbol. However, there is another picture of a 'Veteran Commander' in Mk VI armour with white shoulder pads and a black Chapter symbol, although it isn't specified which era he's from. It implies that veterans can have their own personally heraldry, including reversing the colours on their shoulder pads.
