RastlinD
Hey guys I am currently playing in a Heresy Campaign and we are trying to keep it as "historic as possible." My question centers around the fighting on Isstvan III, I remember at the outbreak of fighting that Fulgrim was trying to sway the Iron Hands to join Horus. Did he ever make it back to join in the destruction of Loyalists on Isstvan III. In that regards did Horus ever enter the fray or did he just direct from the Vengeful Spirit? I know that both Angron and Mortarion both fought on the ground just wondering about the others. I can't remember and since I am at work I don't have access to my source books. Thanks for your help guys! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286532-history-question/ Share on other sites
Cactus
According to Galaxy in Flames and/or Fulgrim, Fulgrim arrives in the Istvaan system while the fighting on III is still ongoing. Horus tells him to go straight to V and oversee preparation of the fortifications there. Fulgrim has a bit of a strop at being left out of the fighting but Horus tells him it's really really important and only he is capable of doing the job properly so Fulgrim acquiesces. The impression I got from the novels is that Horus didn't venture onto the surface of Istvaan III, but I don't recall any specific mention that he stayed in orbit for the whole three months. Conn Eremon
The only mentions of Primarchs on Isstvan III are Mortarion and Angron, if I recall correctly.
